I'm Baaaack!!!

I am SO excited to be blogging again!! I doubt any of you are still following this poor neglected blog, but in case you are I bet you are shocked to see me at the top of your RSS feed!! The reason for my lack of posts the last 2 years, is because we got rid of cable and Internet in order to save money. We recently hooked up the Internet because I got an online job... but we are still without cable... it is the best choice for our family.

I am not sure what I plan do do as far as my future blog posts go. I am thinking I will share the highlights of the last 2 years... holidays, birthdays, vacations.... that sort of thing. I will also share life as it is happening.

To catch you all up...

Kaleb is 6 years old. He just started 1st grade. He is so smart and absolutely loves school. He has tons of friends and he is the "funny kid" in his class. He has also taken an interest in a sweet little girl named Cheyenne. They are the best of friends... and he chases her at recess. So cute!

Karson is 4 years old... about to turn 5 in October. He is in his second year of preschool. He thinks school is pretty boring, but he goes anyway. Ha! He loves the Wii and his older brother. He also just started playing t-ball. He LOVES it. We are excited that he has taken an interest in an outside the house activity!

Koen is 3 years old and just started his first year of preschool. He seems to be doing pretty well... but he hasn't gotten to go very much because of all the germs!! Poor guy has been so sick... a cold, then strep, now impetigo. He started soccer this week and is so excited to go back. Koen LOVES sports.

Kassidy is 2 years old. She loves to dance and sing. Every time she hears music she gets up and twirls and dances. She is just so precious! She also loves watching movies... her current faves are Dora, Diego, Barbie, Cinderella, and Minnie Mouse. She is very opinionated and gives us a run for our money! Ha!

As for Matt and I... we just celebrated 7 years of marriage in August. I stay home with the kiddos, and Matt works at Petsmart. We both have some career changes in the works and we are praying hard about those. Life has had it's ups and downs the last few years... but we are so blessed.

I hope you will all start following my little blog again! I am happy to be back!

Halloween Weekend Wrap Up!!

I hope everyone had a fabulous Halloween this year! I know we did! We had so much fun decorating the house, carving pumpkins, Trunk-or-Treating at Kaleb's preschool, and Trick-or-Treating on Halloween night. The kids loved every minute of it all too!

The boys liked carving pumpkins, but they were still a little unsure about reaching into the seeds. Matt and I did most of the cleaning out. We let the kids draw the faces onto their pumpkins by themselves this year. Matt and I just cut along their lines. They turned out pretty cute!

Koen's ready to try.

Matt did a crown on Kassidy's!

Friday night we went Trunk-or-Treating at Kaleb's school. We had a good time. We ate hot dogs, visited with friends, walked in a costume parade and trunk-or-treated. The boys also got to meet a firefighter and go inside a firetruck. To say they were excited is an understatement.

We put Kassidy in a cute leopard print hand me down and added a cat beanie. I wanted her to be warm and comfy.

Finally Halloween night came! The kids had been counting down the days until we got to go real trick-or-treating. Ha! They all looked so cute and had a great time.

Happy Birthday to my favorite THREE year old boy!!

Today is Karson's third birthday! He is such a sweet boy and I am so proud to be his mommy! He has the best personality and is so silly. I love so many things about him... his "surfer dude" hair, his HUGE smile, the way he says "mm-hmm" instead of yes, his love for his "brobers" and his "baby "seeser." I love when he pretends. You can find him skipping sideways through the house "skateboarding," or runny with his arms out in front of him flying like "pooperman" ... (Superman). I love when he cuddles up next to me and says "I love you Mommy" and then gives me a big kiss and hug. I love him. He is so special!

We had a robot party for him last night. It was a ton of fun and I will be sharing those pictures soon... but I want this post to be about my little birthday boy! He has come a long way in his three years. I will never forget the day he was born. I only got to hold him for a few minutes before they took him away to get him "cleaned up." When he didn't come back in the room, I called down to the nursery only to hear that he was in the NICU. That moment was one of those moments that I will never forget. I remember the sick feeling in the pit of my stomach, I remember how the tears felt rolling down my cheeks, I remember the fear for the unknown. He was transferred to the NICU at Phoenix Children's Hospital where he spent the first 2 weeks of his life. Matt and I were by his side for most of those two weeks. We had Kaleb to take care of, so we did leave at night. I am so thankful everything turned out to be ok... and now I have a healthy 3 year old boy!

I always take the time to look through the pictures of the kids on their special day... Here is a little journey through pictures of Karson's three years!!

Six Months

Half a year. My little princess is one half of a year old!! She is growing way too fast... and her brothers are growing right along with her! Things have been crazy around here the reason that this post is barely making it on the 18th!) We are in full party planning mode. We are having a robot party for Karson this year that has been really fun to plan!

Anyways... back to my six month old!! Kassidy is rolling, smiling and blowing raspberries! She has developed a major dislike to baby food... and only wants to nurse. She spits out anything that you try to give her... bottle, baby food, pacifier... she wants nothing to do with it. That has been a little difficult at times... but we are managing!

She got to try out the bouncer this month and is LOVING it!! She jumps up and down and her eyes get bright when the lights and music come on. She also likes rolling around on the floor with her toys. She is really starting to play... it is so fun to watch her figure things out.

Unfortunately my camera battery charger is MIA, and has been for the past 2 or 3 weeks!! So I don't have any pictures of her in the bouncer yet. But here are a few to hold you over!!

Looking cute at a birthday party!

Here is a better look at her outfit that day... I was loving it!

SO happy!

She takes most of her baths in the sink now... much easier on mommy!

Checking out her crib after bath time!!

Happy half year birthday Kassidy!!
